types and uses of lubricants and other commonly used servicing materialsoperational principles of machinery including mechanical and auto-electrical systemsservicing characteristics of plant and equipmenttypes, characteristics, uses and limitations of hand power toolsfunctions of components of common mechanical and hydraulic systemsdifferent working principles of 2-stroke, 4-stroke, petrol and diesel enginesset-up requirements of plant and equipment, and principles of calibrationbasic diagnostic processes and techniquesenvironmental Codes of Practice with regard to maintenance activitieswork health and safety, environmental legislative and enterprise requirements and Codes of Practicehazard identification procedures
