- Prepare for operational inspection
- Determine, from the operational request, the specific facilities and equipment to be inspected and purpose of the inspection
- Select required tools and equipment for testing and inspection
- Carry out pre-operational and safety checks on tools and equipment
- Prepare appropriate checklists and reporting formats to suit the application
- Identify the different types of facilities from checklist descriptions
- Clarify specific terminology used in checklists with the supervisor
- Identify workplace health and safety hazards, assess risks and implement controls
- Select and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Undertake operational inspection
- Finalise the park inspection
