- Work instructions are used to determine job requirements, including method, material and equipment
- Job specifications are read and interpreted
- OHS requirements, including dust and fume collection, breathing apparatus and eye and ear personal protection needs are observed throughout the work
- Material for work is selected appropriate to application
- Equipment and tooling are identified and checked for safe and effective operation
- Procedures are determined to minimise waste material
- Procedures are identified for maximising energy efficiency while completing the job
- Remove electrical/electronic units/assemblies
- Correct information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Electrical/electronic units/assemblies are removed using approved methods, tooling and equipment
- Assistance from a licensed person must be sought in relation to air conditioning and LPG/NGV system/ components removal
- Removal is completed without causing damage to component or system
- Removal activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OHS, legislation and enterprise procedures/policies
- Units/assemblies are handled and stored in accordance with manufacturer/component supplier requirements
- Replace electrical/electronic units/assemblies
- Correct information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Electrical units/assemblies are replaced using approved methods, tooling and equipment
- Assistance from a licensed person must be sought in relation to air conditioning and LPG/NGV system/ components replacement
- Replacement is completed without causing damage to component or system
- Replacement activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OHS, legislation and enterprise procedures/policies
- Clean up work area and maintain equipment
- Material that can be reused is collected and stored
- Waste and scrap is removed following workplace and environmental procedures
- Equipment and work area are cleaned and inspected for serviceable condition in accordance with workplace procedures
- Unserviceable equipment is tagged and faults identified in accordance with workplace requirements
- Operator maintenance is completed in accordance with manufacturer/component supplier specifications and site procedures
- Tooling is maintained in accordance with workplace procedures
