- Job specifications are read and interpreted
- OHS requirements, including personal safety needs, are observed throughout the work
- Equipment and tooling are identified and checked for safe and effective operation
- Procedures are determined to minimise task time
- Check/test wiring harness/loom and decide preferred repair action
- Correct information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Visual checks are carried out to establish the extent of damage
- Tests are carried out to determine faults using tooling and techniques
- Faults are identified and preferred repair action is determined
- Checking/testing is achieved without causing damage to component or system
- Checks and tests are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines and OHS and enterprise/ procedures policies
- Remove, replace and label wiring harness/loom
- Correct information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Wiring harness/loom is labelled and removed using tooling and techniques
- Associated components are labelled, removed and tagged for storage
- Repaired/remanufactured harness/loom is correctly refitted to vehicle and reconnected according to manufacturer/component supplier specifications and/or labels
- Removal, replacement and labelling is completed without causing damage to component or system
- Removal/replacement and labelling is completed according to industry regulations/guidelines, OHS and enterprise/ procedures policies
- Repair wiring harness/loom
- Manufacture wiring harness/loom
- Electrical circuit wiring diagrams are accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Harness/loom is manufactured to approved specifications using tooling, techniques and materials
- Harness/loom is tested prior to placing in service and results are documented in accordance with enterprise policies and procedures
- Manufacturing activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OHS and enterprise/ procedures policies
- Clean up work area and maintain equipment
- Workplace and equipment documents are completed in accordance with site requirements
- Material that can be reused is collected and stored
- Waste and scrap is removed following workplace procedures
- Equipment and work area are cleaned and inspected for serviceable condition in accordance with workplace procedures
- Unserviceable equipment is tagged and faults identified in accordance with workplace requirements
- Operator maintenance is completed in accordance with manufacturer/component supplier specifications and site procedures
- Tooling and equipment is maintained in accordance with workplace procedures
