- Dismantle alternator and clean individual components/parts
- Correct information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Alternators are dismantled according to component/vehicle manufacturer/component supplier procedures
- Alternators are dismantled without causing damage to components
- Component parts are cleaned according to unit/vehicle manufacturer/component supplier recommended solvents and procedures
- Work is completed according to industry regulations/guidelines, OHS, legislation and enterprise procedures/policies
- Inspect and test alternator components/parts
- Correct information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Alternator are inspected and tested according to component/vehicle manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Alternators component parts are inspected and tested without causing damage to component or system
- Worn, damaged, deteriorated or faulty components/parts are identified
- Part requirements are documented and reported according to enterprise procedures
- Inspection and testing is carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OHS, legislation and enterprise procedures/policies
- Overhaul and reassemble alternator and components/parts
- Correct information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Alternator parts/components are repaired to manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Alternator replacement parts are selected and fitted to meet customer requirements
- Alternators are reassembled according to unit/vehicle manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Alternators are reassembled without causing damage to components/parts
- Alternators are assembled according to industry regulations/guidelines, OHS, legislation and enterprise procedures/policies
- Alternators are tested according to component/vehicle manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Workplace and equipment documents are completed in accordance with site requirements
- Clean up work area and maintain equipment
- Material that can be reused is collected and stored
- Waste and scrap is removed following workplace procedure
- Equipment and work area are cleaned and inspected for serviceable condition in accordance with workplace procedures
- Unserviceable equipment is tagged and faults identified in accordance with workplace requirements
- Operator maintenance is completed in accordance with manufacturer/component supplier specifications and site procedures
- Tooling and equipment is maintained in accordance with workplace procedures
