- Use team instructions/specifications and category rules and supplementary regulations to determine job requirements, including configuration, quality, equipment and quantities
- Check task requirements against 'on the day' operating conditions and seek clarification of specifications, where required
- Observe occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements, including regulatory requirements, equipment and system isolation requirements and personal protection needs, throughout the work
- Locate tooling and equipment and check for safe and effective operation
- Clean and lay out work area for job requirements
- Finalise technical preparation
- Configure vehicle settings for each race in accordance with team specifications, baseline configurations, category rules and supplementary regulations
- Report problems with the work area or the operation of the equipment to appropriate persons
- Make proposals for modifications or adaptation of equipment
- Document settings in accordance with team procedures
- Conduct pre-race checks
- Prepare vehicle for scrutineering
- Inspect vehicle systems and safety components in accordance with regulatory body requirements, category rules and supplementary regulations
- Identify and rectify problems with vehicle compliance
- Report problems with vehicle compliance that cannot be rectified to appropriate persons in accordance with team procedures
- Conduct between-race maintenance
- Clean up work area and finalise documentation
- Return tooling to storage
- Tag and shelve/store surplus components/consumables
- Remove surplus material from work area
- Clean spillage from work area and vehicle
- Assist with loading of vehicle and equipment for transportation and undertake dismantling of temporary work location
- Complete team/event documentation
