- Procedures are identified for maximising energy efficiency while completing the job.
- Measure, mark out and fabricate template
- Information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/ component supplier specifications.
- Suitable materials are selected and template is fabricated to shape and size.
- Templates are completed without causing damage to any component or system.
- Fabricating and measuring activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, and enterprise procedures/policies.
- Mark out, cut panels/trim and prepare cut edges
- Information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/ component supplier specifications.
- Template is used to mark out areas to be cut.
- Panels/trim are cut using approved methods and equipment in accordance with specifications.
- Panels/trim are prepared in readiness for installing window.
- Panels are reinforced to comply with manufacturer/ component supplier requirements.
- Work is completed without causing damage to any component or system.
- Marking out, cutting and preparation activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, and enterprise procedures/policies.
- Install window
- Information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/ component supplier specifications.
- Window is installed to specification.
- Installed window is checked for operation and leak tested.
- Installation is achieved without causing damage to any component or system.
- All installation and checking is performed according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, and enterprise procedures/policies.
- Clean up work area and maintain equipment
- Material that can be reused is collected and stored.
- Waste and scrap are removed following workplace and environmental procedures.
- Equipment and work area are cleaned and inspected for serviceable condition in accordance with workplace procedures.
- Unserviceable equipment is tagged and faults identified in accordance with workplace requirements.
- Operator maintenance is completed in accordance with manufacturer/component supplier specifications and worksite procedures.
- Tooling is maintained in accordance with workplace procedures.
