Elements and Performance Criteria
- Identify LPG storage requirements.
- Design, drawings, specifications and any special instructions are obtained.
- Work health and safety (WHS) and environmental requirements associated with the installation of LPG storage facilities areadhered to throughout the work.
- Quality assurance requirements for company operations are identified and adhered to.
- Gas load and design requirements are determined from plans, specifications, and job drawing or workplace instructions.
- Storage capacity is checked for compliance with regulatory authority and installation requirements.
- Type of storage is determined according to job and installation requirements.
- Cylinder and type of system (one or two-stage) are selected according to standards, job and installation requirements.
- Appropriate regulators are determined to meet capacity and load of the system according to installation requirements.
- Appropriateness of selected location to provide the required service is established in compliance with standards and installation requirements.
- Quantity of materials required is calculated from design, drawings and specifications in compliance with installation requirements.
