Elements and Performance Criteria
- Check work requirements.
- Identify work requirements from workplace approved operating procedures.
- Recognise requirements which may not be in accordance with usual practice.
- Ask questions of appropriate person to confirm unusual practice.
- Ensure housekeeping is to requirements.
- Identify hazards associated with the job and take appropriate action.
- Conduct pre-checks as required.
- Operate recycle washer equipment in accordance with procedures.
- Start machine safely and correctly when required.
- Check process is operating with required limits.
- Collect product samples and store.
- Check product is in specification / to required quality standard.
- Maintain supply of material(s) as required.
- Complete logs and records as required.
- Collect and reprocess/discard scrap/trim and other materials in accordance with workplace procedures.
- Check readouts against standard statistical process information and enter production data into the control system.
- Keep equipment and work area clean.
- Pause machine cycle and perform emergency stop, as required.
- Identify product quality requirements.
- Respond to routine problems in accordance with procedures.
