Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Provide advice on prevention strategies
   • Public safety risk prevention strategies are identified from information on hazards and environmental conditions
2. Assessment of public safety risk prevention strategies is conducted using organisational procedures and criteria
3. Advice is provided to local forums on public safety risk prevention strategies, in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
4. Types of risk, locality, protection of life, property and the environment are assessed in advice provided
5. Implement and monitor prevention strategies
   • Risk prevention activity is implemented, in accordance with organisational strategies and selected strategies
6. Communication and coordination of prevention activities is implemented with relevant authorities and organisations
7. Progress reports are provided to stakeholders, in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
8. Review implementation of prevention strategies
   • Stakeholders are advised of outcome of implementation of prevention strategies, in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
9. Recommendations are documented and provided to appropriate personnel, in accordance with organisational procedures, as proposed amendments to prevention strategies
