- Access, interpret and apply control room operations documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
- Obtain, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements and shift changeover details before proceeding
- Select and wear appropriate personal protective equipment for the work activities
- Perform computer systems and equipment pre-start checks and start-up procedures
- Identify, address and report potential risks, hazards and environmental issues
- Obtain and interpret emergency procedures and be prepared for fire/accident/emergency
- Check records, identify outstanding maintenance inspections and record identified defects
