- Plan and prepare work
- Details of cleaning requirements are identified by instructions, inspections, work orders and schedules
- Materials and equipment are identified and obtained
- Relevant legislative, statutory and workplace requirements and standards are identified and built into the planning process
- Environmental regulatory requirements are identified and built into the planning process to ensure site is left in an environmentally sound condition
- Required materials to be removed and methods of removal are identified to facilitate clean up
- Arrange clear up and disposal/ reclamation of material
- Storage/disposal areas and quarantine zones are identified and arranged to ensure environmentally sound disposal
- Reclaimed material is removed to storage areas using appropriate methods
- Non-required materials/services are removed and disposed of in appropriate manner to ensure clean and environmentally stable site
- Site is inspected for overlooked materials to minimise wastage and losses
- Operate cleaning equipment and mobile plant
- Cleaning equipment and mobile plant are operated to site and manufacturer’s requirements
- Operator maintenance is performed to manufacturer’s/site standards
- Cleaning equipment is cleaned and stored
- Finalise work and restore site
- Drainage is established/restored as necessary to ensure well drained site
- Re-vegetation/environmental repair is arranged as required to return site to environmentally sound condition
- Barriers are removed or checked for integrity to ensure access to correct areas
- Access roads are closed as required to prevent unauthorised access to closed site
- Site level and surface condition are left in a suitable state to ensure an environmentally sound, safe and clean site
