Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare for LV field switching to a given schedule
- Job requirements and workplace procedures are identified and communicated with relevant personnel
- Work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), environmental and workplace procedures for LV switching are obtained and confirmed for the purposes of the work to be performed
- Work is prioritised and sequenced for completion within acceptable timeframes following consultation with relevant personnel and in accordance with workplace procedures
- Hazards are identified, WHS/OHS risks assessed and control measures identified in accordance with workplace procedures
- Relevant authority to perform work is obtained in accordance with requirements and workplace procedures
- Plant, equipment, tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for work are identified, obtained and confirmed in working order
- Worksite is prepared to minimise risk, damage to property, commerce and individuals in accordance with workplace procedures
- Traffic management plan is confirmed as being applied in accordance with workplace procedures
- Carry out LV field switching to a given schedule
- Requirements for lifting and/or climbing and/or working at heights and the use of power tools/equipment are followed in accordance with workplace procedures
- LV field switching to a given schedule are applied to ensure completion in agreed timeframes, to quality standards and with minimum waste in accordance with workplace procedures
- Communications with switching control officer, or equivalent, are established and maintained during the isolation operation in accordance with workplace procedures
- Electrical equipment and associated circuits to be switched, including paralleling, are isolated and proved de-energised using appropriate devices and earthed, as required, in accordance with workplace procedures
- Unplanned events are responded to in accordance with workplace procedures
- Quality checks of work are undertaken in accordance with workplace procedures
- Complete LV field switching to a given schedule
- WHS/OHS and environmental incidents are reported in accordance with workplace procedures, as required
- Worksite is cleaned and made safe and surplus materials are returned to storage or disposed of in accordance with workplace procedures
- Plant, equipment and tools are cleaned, checked and returned to service in accordance with workplace procedures
- Relevant work permits are signed off in accordance with workplace procedures
- Work records, reports and/or documentation are completed in accordance with workplace procedures
