Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to undertake excavator operations.All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, local, state and federal government regulations, legislation and codes of practice, work health and safety requirements, manufacturer’s specifications and sustainability practices.This unit applies to individuals who work under general supervision and exercise limited autonomy with some accountability for their own work. They undertake defined activities and work in a structured context.Appropriate licences for the operation excavator equipment must be obtained where required. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Competency is to be assessed in the workplace or simulated environment that accurately reflects performance in a real workplace setting. All evidence collected must meet minimum requirements including industry standard timeframes for performance of tasks. Assessors must satisfy current standards for RTOs. |
