Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to ensure the safety and hygiene standards of facilities and equipment prior to shearing and crutching operations, and is undertaken by growers with assistance from wool handlers.All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, work health and safety, animal welfare and biosecurity legislation and codes, and sustainability practices.This unit applies to individuals who work under broad direction and take responsibility for their own work including limited responsibility for the work of others.No occupational licensing, legislative or certification requirements are known to apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Competency is to be assessed in the work place or workplace and simulated environments that accurately reflect performance in a real workplace setting.
