Description This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to communicate and action the distribution plan, monitor actions that arise from the plan, review and revise the plan, and measure ongoing results.This unit is applicable to individuals working within enterprises and job roles subject to licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements including legislation administered by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Learning Outcomes and Application This unit applies to distribution plan job roles applied within organisations of various sizes and across a range of customer bases.

Element: Communicate the plan
  • Stakeholders with whom to communicate are identified according to enterprise strategies and policies
  • Methods of communication are determined which are appropriate to the audience
  • Feedback processes are established and communication processes are undertaken within timeframes
       
Element: Action the plan
  • Project steps are established according to plan
  • Enterprise structure is established
  • Plan is actioned within established parameters
       
Element: Monitor the actions
  • Feedback on plan results is analysed within timeframes and following enterprise procedures
  • Problems and opportunities are identified from analysed feedback and corrective action undertaken expediently on any divergence from plan
       
Element: Review and revise the plan
  • Review process is established and feedback on all elements of the plan is secured
  • Discrepancies between performance required and the plan are identified so change actions can be prioritised
  • Revisions to plan are communicated to stakeholders according to enterprise strategies and policies

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are monitored
  • Performance reports are prepared and communicated to relevant stakeholders

Method of assessment

evaluating an integrated activity, which combines the elements of competency for the unit, or a cluster of related units of competency

observing processes and procedures in workplaces

verbal or written questioning on underpinning knowledge and skills

evaluating samples of work

accessing and validating third party reports

setting and reviewing workplace projects and business simulations or scenarios.

Assessment Tasks
