Elements of Competency Performance Criteria              
Element: Determine requirements for product specifications
  • Review design details and drawings to identify scope of information requirements for specifications
  • Determine sizing requirements and acceptable tolerances from information
  • Source and collate information required for product specifications from relevant sources
       
Element: Develop specifications
  • Set up specification documentation in accordance with workplace formats
  • Integrate trade drawings, measurements and other technical information using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Calculate and record set deviations based on design specifications
  • Use checking and proofreading techniques to confirm accuracy and completeness of specification documentation
       
Element: Review specifications against completed product
  • Review garment specifications and information match against completed product, noting deviations and any rectifications needed
  • Make required adjustments to finished product or repair deviations
  • Revise specification documentation, noting modifications, and save in accordance with workplace procedures

Assessment Tasks
