Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on a water supply and disposal system or structure and its various components. It includes safely shutting down and restarting water supply and disposal system equipment and infrastructure, and replacing or repairing worn or damaged parts, with minimal stress or damage to stock.The unit applies to individuals who carry out maintenance work in an aquaculture facility under the direction and guidance of a supervisor.All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety, biosecurity and environmental regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
