Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to test and verify distribution cable jointing installations in the electricity supply industry (ESI).It includes the installation and maintenance of de-energised high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) underground polymeric cables including underground services, network infrastructure and jointing, terminating and repairing cables. It also includes working safely, conducting visual inspections and mandatory and functional test procedures, identifying non-compliance defects and completing mandatory reporting requirements The application of the skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace.Other conditions may apply under state and territory legislative and regulatory licensing requirements which must be confirmed prior to commencing this unit. | ||
