Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to conduct visual checking and treatment of power system poles and structures in the electricity supply industry (ESI).It includes testing or examining at eye level to below ground, checking above ground of crossarms and attached hardware with the use of binoculars to determine the integrity of poles, structures and attached hardware. It also includes completing inspection reports and updating workplace records.The application of the skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace.Other conditions may apply under state and territory legislative and regulatory licensing requirements which must be confirmed prior to commencing this unit. | ||
