Application

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to purchase companion animal livestock for companion animal organisations and on behalf of clients.

This unit applies to individuals working in the animal care industry where it may be necessary to purchase a range of companion animal livestock for companion animal organisations, such as pet shops, or to fulfil specific client orders. Those individuals analyse information and exercise judgement to complete a range of skilled activities and demonstrate deep knowledge in a specific technical area. They have accountability for the work of others and analyse, design and communicate solutions to a range of complex problems.
