Application
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare the resources and work area prior to maintenance of marine mechanical plant and systems, including auxiliary machinery, propulsion plant and service systems, such as liquefied petroleum gas, fire hoses and associated pipework and fittings.
This unit applies to individuals who maintain marine mechanical plant and systems on small vessels used for aquaculture and fishing operations.
All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety and environmental regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
