1. Plan and prepare to erect and dismantle formwork for footings and slabs on ground.

2. Erect formwork for footings and slabs on ground.

2.1 Erect identified safety signage and barricades, and fit personal protective equipment (PPE).

2.2 Set out formwork to requirements of drawings and specifications.

2.3 Select fixings and fasteners.

2.4 Construct and erect formwork shutters and/or edge boxing.

2.5 Brace formwork support.

2.6 Install block-outs and cast-in services to specified locations.

3. Dismantle formwork for footings and slabs on ground.

3.1 Remove edge boxing and bracing/strutting support sequentially and safely.

3.2 De-nail, clean and store or stack timber components safely for re-use or removal from site.

3.3 Clean and oil steel components, then store or stack to manufacturers’ specifications.

3.4 Discard damaged formwork components safely after stripping.

4. Clean up after dismantling formwork for footings and slabs on ground.

4.1 Clear work area and dispose of, re-use or recycle materials in accordance with legislation, regulations, codes of practice and task requirements.

4.2 Clean, check, maintain and store tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and workplace requirements.
