1. Plan conservation processes

1.1 Identify and follow work health and safety, legislative and organisational requirements

1.2 Conduct detailed inspections of the heritage leadlight and stained glass based on existing condition reports and verify conservation requirements

1.3 Identify, confirm and clarify conservation requirements with appropriate personnel

1.4 Identify conservation sequence and develop a work plan with approval of relevant people

2. Prepare for the conservation process

2.1 Position and check tools and equipment prior to use to ensure they are appropriate for the task, serviceable and in a safe condition

2.2 Position plans and other documents to allow for confirmation of the panel structure

2.3 Make outline rubbings to confirm design during the process

2.4 Take photographs of the panel before during and after the inspection for later reference

3. Conduct the conservation process

3.1 Complete conservation cleaning on relevant components in consultation with relevant personnel and specialist technical experts

3.2 Confirm decisions on conservation methods in consultation with relevant people

3.3 Select and prepare replacement materials using established techniques

3.4 Conduct measurements and tests to confirm conservation plan

3.5 Assemble panel and check against original data.

4. Finalise and report on the conservation process

4.1 Inspect conserved leadlight and stained glass panel for quality of work

4.2 Take photographs of the completed conservation prior to packaging and transportation

4.3 Remove, clean and store tools and equipment appropriately

4.4 Clean conservation area and dispose of rubbish in accordance with environmental requirements

4.5 Package and store panel prior to movement and installation

4.6 Prepare and provide required conservation reports to relevant people.
