1. Plan and prepare to perform rig floor operations

1.1 Obtain, interpret and confirm work requirements

1.2 Access, interpret and apply rig floor operations documentation and confirm work activity is compliant

1.3 Identify and minimise environmental issues and potential hazards, and assess and address risks within scope of own role and according to workplace procedures

1.4 Select and wear personal protective equipment required for work activity

1.5 Communicate with other personnel at site as required and confirm briefings and handover details are communicated and received

1.6 Confirm availability of required quantities and type of consumables

1.7 Identify errors, omissions and shortages and take remedial action as required within functional responsibility

2. Handle tubulars and equipment

2.1 Identify and select equipment required for work activities and conforming to operational requirements

2.2 Identify faults in the equipment and take required remedial action according to functional responsibility

2.3 Confirm equipment is functional and fit for the purpose and environment in which it will be used

2.4 Position tubulars and equipment according to operational requirements

3. Prepare and run tubulars

3.1 Assist in measuring and recording of all down hole tools and tubulars

3.2 Convey tubulars to floor with protectors fitted according to company safety operating procedures

3.3 Check make-up and break-out equipment and slip dies for cleanliness and sharpness and secure

3.4 Inspect, service and operate manual slips

3.5 Operate make-up and break-out equipment

3.6 Move rig floor tools and equipment according to safety and operational requirements and using required manual handling techniques

3.7 Conduct thread cleaning, inspection and lubrication safely

3.8 Make up tubular string, applying required use of make-up/break-out and lifting equipment

4. Assist in preparing and running BOP stack, riser and diverter package

4.1 Prepare BOP equipment according to rig operating procedures

4.2 Position BOP over the wellhead using required system

4.3 Assemble and check required riser running, pressure testing and handling equipment

5. Examine and service rig floor equipment and conduct housekeeping

5.1 Read and interpret lubrication schedules and carry out lubrication using required types and quantities of lubricants according to company and manufacturer requirements

5.2 Check equipment and identify, report and rectify faults as required and within scope of own role

5.3 Keep tools and portable equipment clean, well maintained and stowed

5.4 Seal and stow flammable substances according to manufacturer and statutory requirements

5.5 Keep covers and gratings in place, except when in use

5.6 Maintain make-up and break-out equipment, slips and dies in a clean and sharp condition

5.7 Maintain non-skid surfaces clean and free from oil and grease

5.8 Maintain rig floor and equipment to company standard
