Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare a two wheel motor bike for operation
- Read or listen to supervisor’s instructions and clarify where necessary
- Identify and report potential work health and safety hazards
- Conduct routine pre operational checks
- Replace and report damaged or worn components
- Use, fit and maintain personal protective equipment
- Ensure any items that are to be transported on the bike are safely secured
- Identify areas and applications excluded to two wheel motor bikes on the workplace safety plan
- Select appropriate two wheel motorbike for the rider’s size, skill and task to be completed
- Two wheel motor bike is safely unloaded from transport where applicable
- Operate a two wheel motor bike
- Recognise and control risks to self, others and the environment according to legislative and enterprise requirements
- Comply with legislation and enterprise policies in regards to carrying passengers
- Steer, manoeuvre and position two wheel motor bikes in a smooth and controlled manner
- Identify, anticipate and control riding hazards through the application of safe riding techniques
- Operate farm two wheel motor bikes in a safe and controlled manner on a range of surface and terrain conditions
- Identify and account for environmental implications associated with machinery operation
- Complete and check two wheel motor bike operation
